Evangelicals often forget the power of God’s Word. When they think of evangelistic literature, they often neglect the Bible! Ramez will share about his experience over many years in Quebec and in Egypt using the Bible evangelistically. He will also share stories about people who were transformed by reading God’s Word.

Rebecca will share how ministry among the disabled children and adults in the Garbage Villages of Cairo developed over the last ten years.  She will share stories about the remarkable young men and women who pioneered this ministry and how, in working alongside them, she has been deeply blessed and encouraged.  She will share lessons she has learned from these remarkable servants of God and the people they serve.

This seminar is especially adapted for children.

The 250 million “Dalits” [untouchables] of India have been treated like animals for thousands of years within Hinduism itself. They have been, and continue to be enslaved socially, economically, financially, and religiously by their upper caste rulers. Yet in the midst of this terrible slavery, God is doing extraordinary things among this oppressed and outcaste people. Spiritual awakening, empowerment, and social emancipation are occurring all over the nation. This seminar will detail this very exciting move of God amongst the largest oppressed people group of all time.

Who me, a friend with a Muslim?  Do you now share part of your life with your Muslim neighbors?  Do you know what they believe?  When you understand Muslims better, you will then find it easier to talk to them than you thought possible!  It will also clear up some misunderstandings that Muslims have about Christianity and how we misunderstand them.

Modern forms of communication (Internet, discussion forums, on line education etc) are creating a “globalized culture”.  How can missions effectively reach this technological global community?  What is “cross-cultural mission” in the context of the globalized “Now Generation”?        

We will look at the need for "out of the box" thinking in ministry to urban poor at risk youth.

Missions and God’s leading is not supposed to be a big mystery.  The Missionary Call – what it is, what it is not; and how I can go about being a part of the big picture.

This will be a panel discussion with people who have recently participated in short term mission trips.

Ramez will share some of the sensitivities of living and serving as a Christian in a non-Christian majority country.  He will share insights on how to make a positive impact in a situation where many have found themselves in conflict with the authorities and the community because of approaches that are seen as offensive or insensitive.  He will suggest positive ways of sharing God’s love.

Rebecca will share insights about her fifteen years of ministry among Sudanese refugees in Egypt.  She will try to explain the situation in Sudan over the last few decades and the plight of many Sudanese caught in Egypt and other countries with no apparent future ahead of them. She will describe how churches, individuals and groups in Egypt are trying to reach out to these dispossessed people.

The majority of Muslim women remain unreached in Canada.  This seminar will creatively demonstrate the mosaic of Muslim women in Canada. You will learn to understand Canadian Muslim women and ways to reach out to them with the love of Jesus.

ESL teachers are taking the gospel into the classrooms and closed countries of the world.  We will explore some of the fears and the challenges faced by ESL teachers as well as the issue of monetary necessity versus mission.

They think we Canadians are like our climate – cool and insulated.  And we sometimes wonder if they aren’t all nuts!  How do people from very different cultures build trust, relationships and even imagine that they can integrate into each other’s worlds?  A vital question for anyone who wants to reach out cross-culturally in the name of Jesus – and the answer is not simple, but it certainly can be done!

 Because God's revelation of the good news of Jesus Christ must penetrate manmade cultures, there will be bridges and conflicts to the message. Recognizing these will help us to not compromise the truth but make the message clear and transferable within the focus people group.

Europe remains as one of the continents with the lowest percentage of born again believers but in spite of this great need, exciting events are happening that show God is at work. In light of His working His people are facing great opportunities to not only transform secular Europe, but touch the whole world. Come hear how Canadians can be involved.

We will start with an overview of the people, religion and economy of India then move on to discuss Christianity in India-origins and growth, current status and trends.  We will also talk about the growth of missions in India and current opportunities for witness.
